Competition Dance Team

We are very proud of our Dance Team dancers! We have set the bar high and we are achieving our goals. We are teams of hard working, dedicated dancers. Our accomplishments include high gold, platinum, choreographers awards, team spirit awards and many more.

Dance Team Guidelines:

• Our teams practice twice a week, one week day evening and one Sunday afternoon/evening practice. Team members must take ballet and at least one other technique class.

• We compete weekends in March, April and May. For a total of three competitions.

• A full year commitment is required. Attendance is essential.

• Our current Dance Team is composed of 5th - 12th grade students who have shown a unique passion for dance. Team members must have the ability to devote themselves to reaching their highest potential as a performer; through hard work and year round dance training.

• Our dancers learn a variety of challenging routines choreographed by our NDT staff and guest instructors. Each team competes in three dances.

• We emphasize kindness, good sportsmanship and integrity. All of which are equally as important as dance ability. Our team members are positive role models for the NDT community.

• We bond as a team in our love of dance and become great friends. All of us cherish building meaningful memories, year after year!

Congratulations to all our Needham Dance Theatre Competition Teams!  Over the years we have been awarded several platinums, ultimates, high golds, national invitation and special awards  (See our display at the studio). We achieve our goals. We could not be more proud of our hardworking, talented and caring young dancers.  Looking forward to continued success!
